Manhattan Borough President Democratic Party Candidate, Thomas Lopez-Pierre, is organizing a team of:
1 - Ten NYC City Council candidates (one from each of the ten city council districts in Manhattan) and;
2 - an undetermined number of candidates to run for Democratic Party District Leaders (Male/Female) in Manhattan.
The goal of the coalition is to elect in year 2021, a like-minded team of diverse group of candidates (Male, Female, Heterosexual/Homosexual, Black, Hispanic, Whites, Asians, Christians, Jewish, Muslim, etc.), committed to protecting rent regulated and public housing tenants from Greedy Landlords.
The coalition will help each candidate with political fundraising, media relations, promote candidates via full page newspaper and social media advertisements (facebook, twitter, etc), joint mailings and shared campaign staff, etc.
1 - Prospective city council candidates must raise a minimum of $5,000 from NYC residents to qualify for $35,000 in taxpayers' funds from the NYC Campaign Finance Board.
2 - Prospective district leader candidates must collect a minimum of 1,000 signatures (collected door to door) from Democratic Party members on nominating petitions of the coalition.
3 - Prospective city council and district leader candidates must agree to reject any and all political contributions from anyone employed by landlords and/or working in the real estate industry.
Individuals interested in being considered should send a copy of their resume to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
NOTE: First time candidates, college students and public housing residents are encouraged to apply.

If we work together as one community: Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Black, Hispanic, White, Asian, we can protect rent regulated and public housing tenants from Greedy Landlords in NYC!
